Surrey-Panorama Liberal MLA Stephanie Cadieux is the provincial government's new Children and Families Minister.

Premier Christy Clark named Cadieux to the post Wednesday during a cabinet shuffle in the wake of several high-profile MLAs - Surrey-Cloverdale MLA Kevin Falcon among them - announcing recently that they won't be running for office in the next general election.

Clark did not add any new ministries in this shuffle, keeping the number of cabinet members at 19.
