A Surrey man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder related to an Oct. 21st shooting near Vancouver's Commercial Drive.

Steven Thoung Sitthikoun, 27, is being held in custody until his court appearance on Dec. 5th.

Two men were wounded in the early morning shooting, in the 1600-block of East 5th Avenue. The Vancouver Police received numerous 911 calls from people reporting gunfire near East 5th and Commercial. They found one man in the 1600-block of East Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound, and another shooting victim in the lobby of an apartment building in that same block. Both men are in their 20s, and are residents of Vancouver. Police believe they were targeted. Their names have not been released.
