SURREY - Surrey RCMP's top boss say the Hells Angels are not welcome in this city.
Superintendent Bill Fordy was responding to news Friday that some former members of the White Rock Chapter are splintering off to form a new chapter here.
"If the Hells Angels expect to set up a clubhouse in Surrey I am serving them notice right here and now that they are not welcome," said Fordy, who used to be in charge of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
"I will use every lawful means at my disposal to ensure they understand that," he said.
Surrey Mayor Dianne Watt's reaction was less frosty.
"I'll leave the RCMP to deal with those issues," Watts said.
