Lauren Patricia Sewell, 24, of Surrey, shown here in a photo from her Facebook page, was killed in a plane crash Monday near Kelowna.

A Surrey woman has been identified as the second victim of Monday afternoon's plane crash 30 kilometres west of Kelowna.

Lauren Patricia Sewell, 24, was a passenger aboard a PA 30 Piper Twin Comanche when it went down in a wooded area near Brenda Mines. She was airlifted to Kelowna General Hospital, but suffered injuries considered "not survivable."

Her parents and family made the difficult decision to lay her to rest and listed her as an organ donor.

"The BC Coroners Service commends the family for the generosity of their decision in a time of immense grief," said chief coroner Lisa Lapointe.

"Despite the tragedy of their daughter's death, they were able through organ donation to provide hope to as many as six other individuals and

families. Though Ms. Sewell's life has ended tragically and too soon, she has given an amazing gift to others."

The first victim was White Rock local Jayson Dallas Wesley Smith, 30, who died on scene. He went by the name Dallas Smith, not to be confused with the Langley country musician of the same name.

It is believed Smith was a passenger onboard. The other two passengers remain in hospital in serious condition.

Smith graduated from Semiahmoo Secondary School and recently moved to Vancouver. A memorial was held Tuesday night in White Rock, where he was remembered by friends and family as an adventurous type who loved life.

One of his favourite quotes listed on his Facebook page was, "Everyone dies, not everyone lives."

The BC Coroners Service and the Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
