Central City has a new property manager at the helm.

Bill Rempel, vice-president and GM of Blackwood Partners Management Corporation made the announcement last week that Michelle MacKay is the new manager for the mixed-use project.

"Michelle is an incredibly talented individual whose role within our organization has grown from marketing manager to retail and community relations manager and now, effective immediately, to property manager," said Rempel.

"Since joining Blackwood in 2009 Michelle has been an integral part of our management group at one of our organization's most successful projects, Central City."

The development combines 640,000 square feet of retail space, a 340,000-squarefoot Simon Fraser University campus and 550,000 square feet of office space.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR PST

Businesses that sell or lease taxable goods or sell software or taxable services in B.C. are able to register for the PST now, ahead of the old provincial sales tax's reintroduction on April 1. There are three ways to register: online, in person and by mail or fax. For online services, see www.gov.bc.ca/etaxbc/ register. The process takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

To register in person, go to your nearest Service BC Centre. Find locations at www.servicebc.gov.bc.ca. To register by mail or fax, complete the Application for Registration for Provincial Sales Tax (FIN 418) found at www.gov.bc.ca/pst and send it to the address or fax number on the form, along with the appropriate documentation.
