Coin collectors invited to make a deal in White Rock

Gail Cobden, left, and Amber van den Hemel of the Canadian Coin Association with some rare collector coins. They are hosting an appraisal clinic at the Ocean Promenade Hotel in White Rock this week, with the final session on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Attendees can get their valuables appraised and maybe even make a deal if the coin in question is worth more than its face value. The travelling appraisal group, which started as part of the Great Canadian Roadshow, has recently been in other municipalities around the Lower Mainland as part of its cross-country tour.
