An orchestra will perform Thursday evening (Aug. 16) at picturesque Darts Hill Garden in South Surrey.

The "Sounds of Summer" event starts at 6 p.m., rain or shine, and gates open at 5 p.m.

Concert organizers encourage attendees to "bring a blanket, choose a favourite spot on the great lawn and enjoy a live orchestra in the stunning setting of Darts Hill Garden. Minimal seating is provided; we encourage you to bring in your own blanket or folding chair to enjoy the performances."

Tickets are $12 in advance, via 604501-5100 or surrey.ca/register, and $15 at the gate. Children 10 and under will be admitted free of charge.

Parking for the event is at 16th Avenue and 170th Street.
