Tickets are still available for the "Halloween Howl" benefit concert featuring local rocker Daniel Wesley at White Rock's Star of the Sea hall.

The Saturday, Oct. 27 event will raise money to build an all-ages, all-abilities playground and park in the East Beach area of White Rock, as proposed by concert host White Rock Fire Fighters Charity Association. The exact site of the facility is still to be determined, in consultation with City of White Rock authorities.

Tickets are $30 for the Oct. 27 gig, which also features rockabilly band Six Gun Romeo.

"We have just over half of our tickets sold," event organizer Evan Bird, a firefighter in White Rock, told the Now on Tuesday.

The hall holds around 550 people, he added. "Daniel said that the last time he played there it was a total blast, so everyone is looking forward to the show, for sure. We shot for the moon to get Daniel, and we are fortunate to have him do the show."

For tickets, call 604-531-6045 or order online at www.wrff.eventbrite.ca. Tickets can also be purchased at the fire hall at 15315 Pacific Ave., White Rock.
