North Delta event features March Hare

In North Delta, a Canada Day celebration happens Sunday, July 1 at Chalmers Park (11400 76A Ave.) starting at 6 p.m., with popular show band March Hare on stage, stiltwalkers, a barbecue and other activities. Free cake will be served to the first 500 people during the concert. A fireworks show will start at around 10: 15 p.m. (for more event details, call 604-952-3000 or visit www.corp.delta.bc.ca).

Elsewhere on July 1, Delta Museum (4858 Delta St., in Ladner) plays host to a pancake breakfast served by members of Lions Club members, from 9 a.m. to noon.

In Tsawwassen, Diefenbaker Park (1st Avenue at 56th Street) is the place for celebrations sponsored by the local Lions Club, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
