In North Delta, a Canada Day celebration happens Sunday, July 1 at Chalmers Park (11400 76A Ave.) starting at 6 p.m., with popular show band March Hare on stage, stiltwalkers, a barbecue and other activities. Elsewhere on July 1, Delta Museum (4858 Delta St., in Ladner) plays host to a pancake breakfast served by members of Lions Club members, from 9 a.m. to noon.

In Tsawwassen, Diefenbaker Park (1st Avenue at 56th Street) is the place for celebrations sponsored by the local Lions Club, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
