Live music is part of the "supper club" concept Thursdays at ULounge, with local trio Nikita's Reason playing covers.
It's a good gig for singer/ model Nikita Graham, who manages guest services at the swank South Surrey bar.
"We're focusing on building up the supper club idea Thursdays - the dinner-dance thing," Graham said.
A steak-and-prawns special is on the menu, and Nikita's Reason goes acoustic with a mix of songs new and well traveled - Amanda Marshall's "Let it Rain," Bruno Mars' "Grenade," some Florence and the Machine, Blind Melon, Lady Gaga, Nirvana.
Graham's husky voice is backed by Stuart Hrysio on acoustic guitar and Randy Williams on djembe, a drum played with his hands.
The band also performs at other local places, including Sawbucks Pub and West Beach Bar and Grill.
At ULounge, "speed dating" nights are also on the calendar, including a session Wednesday, Nov. 28 for those in the 35-to-55 age range. Check ulounge.ca for more details.
