My family and I would like to send a huge bouquet of roses to the family who paid our bill at the Swiss Chalet in Surrey on Dec. 8. It was a very unexpected surprise. Your kindness and generosity was much appreciated. We will be sure to pay it forward in the very near future. Thank you.
After our Grey Cup party, one of my guests responsibly took a cab home and left his vehicle on the street. My neighbour didn't like that his truck was left on "their" side of the street, so they got it ticketed for being closer than three metres to their driveway before he could pick it up the next day. Nice neighbours, huh?
A recycling truck full of rotten tomatoes to the youth who are desecrating beautiful holly trees in Royal Kwantlen Park. They have made a muddy mess cutting down blackberry bushes and these beautiful holly trees. Who would authorize such an activity? And when is Surrey parks going to pick up the mess?
Dozens of spectacular roses to the Delta Police Pipe and Drum band that gave us all chills when they accompanied Paul McCartney for their rendition of "Mull of Kintyre" at the Paul McCartney concert Nov 25. Congrats, you made us all very proud.
A huge bouquet of roses to the woman who found my cellphone with credit cards, ID and money in the Cloverdale IGA parking lot. Thank you!
Rotten tomatoes to the driver who yelled at my daughter and I for walking on the side of the road (no sidewalk). He says he was blinded by the lights of the oncoming car and if we had pointed our flashlights toward him, he might not have hit us.
Rotten tomatoes to the complainers in our trailer park who complain and gossip about everything and everyone. If you detest it here, move. We all follow rules so why don't you learn to be grateful and get along with your neighbours - you will one day need them.
Rotten tomatoes to Grandview Corners for showing a lack of Christmas spirit in its attempt at decorating for the season. Next to Morgan Crossing's great showing, it looks like you're just going through the motions. Create an environment where we want to spend more time and, maybe, more money.
A hospital full of red roses to Fraser Health and thank you for the break in the parking fees.
Rotten tomatoes to McDonald's in North Surrey for kicking out innocent teens just for eating and playing cards.
Rotten tomatoes to the loud obnoxious rednecks in the lounge at the South Surrey restaurant Saturday night. And more tomatoes to the staff - after I complained about them being overserved and after moving tables, the waitress brought them another round of drinks. Nice.
Roses to the fancy new lounge in Cloverdale. Good value.
