'Stop Bullying' film deadline is Feb. 8

 

 
 
 

Judges have been chosen for Surrey's second annual Stop Bullying Film Contest.

They are Mayor Dianne Watts, Surrey RCMP Chief Superintendent Bill Fordy, singer/actor Elise Estrada, Shaw TV host Johanna Ward and the entire Beat radio station morning crew (Holly Conway, Jonny Staub, Nira Arora and Amy Beeman).

"What Can U Do?" is the theme of the contest, to goal of which is to connect with youth to raise awareness about bullying, provide information about available help and develop solutions.

The film submission deadline is Feb. 8, with the winning film in each of three age-specific categories to be announced on Pink Shirt Day, Feb.

27. Students from Grade 6 to 12 are invited to submit a 30-second or 60-second film that identifies types of bullying, the impact that bullying has on people and solutions to the problem.
