Tickets went on sale Oct. 20 for two Surrey stagings of Strawberry Shortcake: Follow Your Berry Own Beat.

The latest Patti Caplette-created musical from Koba Entertainment stars the spirited red-haired girl and friends on a cross-Canada tour - and a "berry, berry good time" is promised.

The show, to be staged twice on Jan. 25 at Bell Performing Arts centre, also features Orange Blossom, Lemon Meringue Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Torte, Plum Pudding and Cherry Jam.

The musical adventure takes audiences to the whimsical land of Berry Bitty City, where the whole town is buzzing with anticipation for the Glitzy Glaze Talent Show. Follow along as Strawberry Shortcake and the rest of the girls each prepare for their moment in the spotlight.

Doubling the fun, Koba Entertainment is also bringing The Doodlebops on the tour, which starts Jan. 13 in Winnipeg.

"It's an interactive concert experience full of humour, fun and friendship," show producers say.
