Jacky Gill, Strawberry Hill RBC branch manager, recently presented a donation of $40,000 to Laurae McNally, Surrey board of education chairperson, for the RBC Take P-Art program.

Since 2005, the RBC Foundation has contributed $370,000 to Take P-Art, which provides 6,000 inner city students in the district the opportunity to participate in artistic creation, event planning, backstage operations and the experience of watching and performing in a top level theatrical event.

Ten classes are selected to receive intensive workshops with professional artists in their schools, culminating in student performances at the Bell Performing Arts Centre to showcase what they learned.
