Eaglequest golf course in Surrey is the site of this year's Walk for Memories, an Investors Group-sponsored event in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
The regional event (for Surrey, White Rock and Delta) happens on Sunday, Jan. 29 - one of a couple dozen similar gatherings in B.C. next month.
Locally, the Walk will honour Jim Mann. "After diagnosis (of Alzheimer's), if early enough, there is a window to live life the fullest," Mann said. "I chose to make the most of that window. The choice has enhanced my life."
Get involved by starting a team or joining one, or consider volunteering, donating to the cause or becoming a sponsor. Money raised during the event will support the more than 70,000 individuals and families in B.C. living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
