Roses and rotten tomatoes

Do you have somebody you would like to thank? Or maybe something you want to get off your chest? Send your rose or rotten tomato to edit@thenownewspaper.com. Please keep submissions under 50 words. Watch for Roses and Rotten Tomatoes in the Thursday issue of the now

Rotten tomatoes to the inconsiderate drivers who insist on parking along the curb and in the crosswalk at the Kiss 'n Ride at King George Station - when the person they are picking up hasn't arrived yet. Perhaps you shouldn't have a driver's licence if your sight is so poor that you can't see the parking lot a few feet away. Shame on you!

Roses to the folks who donate blood faithfully to the blood bank. My husband gets a blood transfusion every 10 days. There are many who need it for quality of life, or it gives them another day or another year to live. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Roses to Sue and the staff at the Langley White Spot for helping my brother find his very small medical pill somewhere on the floor.

A million red roses to Sophie, who paid for my cab home from Surrey Central bus loop. You are truly an angel. Bless you, always!

A huge bouquet of roses to the lady who paid for my purchase of bananas at Two EE's market on Wednesday. Maybe others didn't notice but you made my day. What goes around, comes around. May the kindness be returned to you many times over.

Rotten tomatoes to the inconsiderate "cow" neighbour who smokes outside with no consideration for anybody but her own fat "butt."

Roses to the kind cyclist who stopped at 72nd and the greenway to help me put my back wheel back on after I had repaired the flat. I am sure I would have been there for a lot longer without him. I have forgotten your name, only that it started with P, but thank you again!

Roses to our son-in-law and the over 100 participants of the "ride2survive" who rode their bikes from Kelowna to North Delta in about 11 hours to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society: 110 recruited members raised $413,131.62 - an amazing feat!

Rotten tomatoes to the person knocking pitbull owners for defending the breed. My neighbour's cocker spaniel and yorkie attack my pitbull every time I walk her. Maybe we should ban them too? Give your head a shake. You obviously know very little about dogs.

Roses to our Cloverdale neighbours from the other night. Thanks for the show.
