The Surdel Heat U13 girls soccer team plays host to a zumba fitness fundraiser Friday evening (Feb. 8, 7 to 8 p.m.) at Chalmers Elementary in North Delta. The fee to participate is $15.

Zumba class leader Nadi Al-Janaby has done many similar fundraisers, mainly for schools and sports teams.

"I think it's a great way for the kids and parents to bond and just have fun," she said. "Zumba allows you to be free no matter what age."
