Surrey-raised singer Jacob Hoggard, along with his band, Hedley, figures prominently in the new AMPED exhibit at Science World.
For the next three months, one corner of the ball-shaped facility at False Creek is devoted to the science of music, with hands-on displays that remind me of a more compact version of the awesome Sound Lab at Seattle’s Experience Music Project.
AMPED, which opened Oct. 12 and closes Jan. 5, highlights the connections between music, science, technology and creativity. It’s great to see industry pros and organizations like Music BC and FACTOR support the showcase, along with partners Roland Canada, Tom Lee Music and Nimbus School of Recording Arts. Check it out at www.scienceworld.ca.
Meanwhile, Hedley has been tagged to perform a special show Dec. 20 to mark the grand opening of the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, following reconstruction of the former Boulevard Casino.
