PANORAMA RIDGE - Homicide investigators are looking for a vehicle they believe is connected to the murder of Ezar "Ace" Khan.
Joggers found the 30-year-old Surrey man's body in Joe Brown Park, near 123rd Street and New McLellan Road along Panorama Ridge, just after 7:30 a.m. Sept. 17th.
"At this point evidence suggests that this was not a random attack, but targeted towards Ezar Khan," said Sgt. Jennifer Pound, spokeswoman for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. "While the motive has not been conclusively confirmed, investigators believe this killing is linked to the drug trade as Mr. Khan has been battling drug addiction for many years."
Pound noted Khan has a criminal record dating back to 2010. Police haven't revealed how Khan was killed.
Pound said he was last known to be alive at 10 o'clock on the night before his body was found. Investigators are looking for a 2007-2012 Acura RDX, dark in colour, with chrome door handles. Pound said police believe this vehicle would have had men inside and been driving in and around Joe Brown Park on the night of Sept. 17th into the early morning of Sept. 18th.
