Re: "Marathon was 'quite a party," the Now, Oct. 1.
So Elizabeth Model hasn't heard anything negative about the road closures associated with the marathon? It took me one hour and 53 minutes to travel from Scott Road and Highway 10 to the parkade at Surrey Memorial Hospital where I had an MRI scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
I left home at 11:20 a.m. and arrived at 1:13 p.m., some 45 minutes late.I am not impressed. In fact, two days later I am still fuming.
From my perspective, the road closure plans were an unmitigated disaster.
Go back to the drawing board, Model, and stop the selfcongratulatory pats on your back. They are not deserved!
