Re: "Transit art budget slammed," the Now letters, Aug. 29.
As a grass roots user of transit, I find TransLink's art plan and budget stupid, obscene and unbelievable - and any transit official that proposed this deserves to be canned.
These bums are increasing transit fares every day, yet services don't improve. They complain that they don't have enough money while paying their staff six-digit salaries while pushing extra expenses to the local poor people. This agency must be scrapped or B.C. should bring in another agency to compete with these buffoons.
They are making the province less habitable and more expensive. I did some calculations and found out that it's cheaper either to drive or depend on other means than buying a one-zone transit fair, even if I was to work four or fives days a week.
If that's the case and transit doesn't work for the common man, they should reduce our vehicle taxes and then we can get out of this stupid public transit mess.
