It was a successful Night on Broadway Saturday at Surrey Arts Centre.

A pair of events showcased some memorable Broadway numbers in a sixth annual benefit for Surrey Food Bank.

With 522 people in attendance (439 of whom paid), and tickets priced between $25 and $27.50, the total amount raised for charity was $11,484, according to an event organizer.

Performers at the shows, which are backed by Envision Financial, included soprano Debra DaVaughn and her husband, tenor Christopher Simmons, Tamara Croft, Joel Klein, Cathy Wilmot, Vanessa Coley-Donohue and White Rock Children's Choir.
