Elsewhere, thousands of chocolate eggs, jelly beans and other sweet treats are waiting to be found at Community of Hope's free community Easter egg hunt, on Sunday April 8. For a third year, volunteers will transform the theatres at Strawberry Hill Cinema "into an Easter egg hunter's dream." More than 1,000 plastic eggs filled with treats will be hidden. Separate theatre spaces will be used to ensure little and big kids have their own spaces to hunt, and everyone will take home lots of treats. Children age two to 12 are invited to grab their basket and join in the fun. The hunt will begin promptly at 9: 30 a.m., with the doors opening for prospective egg hunters to line up from 9: 15 a.m. Free coffee, tea and home baked goodies will also be available for families to enjoy. A 10 a.m. church service immediately follows the egg hunt. For more information, contact Philip Bryant at 604-572-5683 or email info@ gethope.ca.

Also, Surrey Pride Society is hosting an inaugural Surrey Pride Easter Egg Hunt on the afternoon of Sunday, April 8. To join in the family-friendly event, email jen@ surreypride.ca for the address of the private residence, in Whalley. "We hope that will be fun for families in our community, and for kids big and small," said Jen Marchbank, the society's president.
