Mounties are investigating the actions of an RCMP dog handler and his police dog after a 16-year-old boy was reportedly hospitalized following his arrest in Guildford early Saturday morning.

The teen, whose identity is shielded by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is accused of breaking into FasGas Plus at 108th Avenue and Oriole Drive. Police allege the boy was running away when he was arrested. He reportedly sustained deep gashes to his face, a broken nose and puncture wounds.
