Dozens of roses to all the people out there who were on the lookout for Joey, our Alexandrine, who was missing for 16 days. He was found in Coquitlam. Thank you to the fellow who managed to trap him and turned him in to the Coquitlam Animal Shelter. Thanks to Parrotalert, who was instrumental in Joey being returned. If only Joey could talk about his adventure.
Roses to each and everyone of the staff at the Crescent Beach Chevron. The entire community appreciates your great smiles and laughs to start their day off right. It is amazing to see people go above and beyond everyday to get only minimal thanks in return. It's not possible for a car to leave the lot with low tire pressure as it will be pointed out and helped to correct it by the wonderful staff keeping cars safe!
Rotten tomatoes to the neighbours who stand in the backyard listening to their dog barking while the kids are swimming in the pool. Are you deaf? Control your dog so the rest of the neighbourhood can have some peace - some people work shift work.
A kayak full of roses to the two boys at Crescent Beach Saturday for making the beach safer for all swimmers. They lifted huge rocks out of the water. No more stubbing my toes. Thanks again.
A truckload of rotten tomatoes to the temple in the 7100-block of Scott Road in Surrey. It is ridiculous that the temple has its sound system for the celebration so loud it can be heard clearly three blocks in any direction. Imagine what it must be like for people who live closer to the temple.
Roses to the young man who picked me up and drove me home when I fell running on 188th Street on Sunday. It would have been a long walk home with a broken ankle!
Even more rotten tomatoes to whoever complained about the person who wrote in about rap music being blasted out of a pickup truck. The point is, people who crank up their boomboxes make everyone else in the neighbourhood listen to their music. We don't judge you for your taste in music, we judge your tastelessness in not having the courtesy to keep it at a reasonable level.
Roses to the birthday boy who missed his birthday party because bad weather in the U.S. caused his flight to be delayed. Thanks for being a great buddy and a great neighbour!
