The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is scheduled to arrive by mid-2013 and is the spiritual successor to the famed E-Type sports cars that were manufactured from 1961-'71. The Jaguar F-Type will be available with a 340-horsepower V6, a 380-horsepower version of the same powerplant for the mid-range F-Type S, and a 495-horsepower 5.0-litre V8 for the F-Type V8 S. All powerplants will be connected to eight-speed automatic transmissions. The $75,000 (estimate) roadster's soft-top folds/unfolds in just 12 seconds, traveling up to 50 km/h.

What's up, auto doc?
Replacing leaky gaskets is certainly within the realm of the backyard mechanic, but there are few tips to make sure the job is done right:
Keep all the fasteners you remove in a safe place for reinstallation, which reduces the chance of losing them. Note if any fasteners are longer than the others and note where they go.
Use a gasket scraper, being careful not to gouge or scar the mating surfaces, which could affect sealing. Never use sandpaper as the grit comes off and gets into the part.
Determine whether sealant is required (often it's not) and be sure you have the correct sealant for the application.
When replacing the fasteners, be sure to use a torque wrench to avoid overtightening. You'd be surprised how little pressure is sometimes called for.
Go for a drive and check for leaks (don't wait until an important or lengthy road trip to find out there's a problem).
After a few days, parts will sometimes settle together, so once again torque the bolts.
