Surrey Libraries has book clubs for everyone - adults, seniors, kids and teens.
New this month at Cloverdale Library is "Books with Buzz," a club devoted to those "making news," on the second Wednesday of each month from 1: 30 to 2: 30 p.m. The club's first meeting is on Feb. 13.
Also new at Cloverdale Library is "Off the Shelf," a club that meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday, from 7 to 8 p.m. This club is for those who "love to read but have limited time." Reserve a spot by calling 604-598-7327 or emailing cscasenas@surrey.ca.
At City Centre Library, a new book club called "Forever Young" is designed for adults who enjoy reading young-adult fiction. An event at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 will focus on The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky; Nancy Farmer's The Sea of Trolls is in the spotlight on March 26.
Book clubs for adults are also active at Guildford and Port Kells libraries; book clubs for seniors are at Ocean Park, Fleetwood and City Centre libraries.
