A Surrey man is being investigated for impaired driving after a black Ford Fusion crashed into four other automobiles and then struck a house Wednesday night in Newton.

Five people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to hospital. It happened just before 8 p.m., near 68th Avenue and 132nd Street.

The Fusion's driver, a 52-year-old Surrey man, was among the injured. He was taken to hospital with injuries that weren't considered to be life threatening. The condition of the other injured people was not known at publication.

No charge has been laid.
