The Delta Police is seeking out fraud victims related to a case involving thefts from automobiles.

Police claim that a man stole a bunch of items from cars in North Delta and then showed up at his victims' residences, claiming he found the stuff and wanted a reward. This happened over November and December, Const. Ciaran Feenan said.

"We don't know the totality," he said of the number of alleged victims. "At this time investigators believe that there are possible victims of this crime who are not aware that they have been defrauded.

"In many cases, the items that have been returned to victims include driver's licences, credit cards and other cards that often contain personal information."

Police are asking people who think they may have been scammed in this manner to contact Const. Mark Bouchard of the Delta Police at 604-946-4411 or mbouchard@deltapolice.ca
