A man found guilty of sexually molesting a young girl in North Delta and Surrey in the 1970s has lost an appeal of his conviction.
A jury found Remi Claude Jean guilty of indecent assault in 2005 following a trial in Terrace.
There is a publication ban prohibiting the media from identifying the victim, who according to court documents was between the ages of five and 12 when Jean molested her in the 1970s at a foster home in North Delta, and later in Surrey.
Justice Catherine Anne Ryan dismissed Jean's appeal on Jan. 20.
