Surrey Museum's new LEGO exhibit opens Saturday, June 30.

The summer feature exhibit at the Cloverdale facility is called LEGO: Myths and Muses, and it's on display until Sept. 15.

The exhibit is presented by Vancouver LEGO Club.

According to exhibit planners at Surrey Museum, LEGO: Myths and Muses celebrates "the fabled landmarks of the ancient world. Come see Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece. Here the 12 major Gods live and hold court while waters fall from the heavens to fill the seven seas. Find out more about the mythologies of Egypt, Greece and Rome, such as the 12 tasks of Hercules, which began with the slaying of the mystical Nemean Lion and ended with the capture of the three-headed dog Cerberus."

The exhibit also offers a chance to explore a LEGO "Great Pyramid, where a mummy is buried while the gods Anubis and Osiris look on."

A number of drop-in events coincide with the LEGO exhibit. For more information on programs at Surrey Museum, call 604-592-6956 or visit www. surrey.ca/heritage.
