Your Dec. 24th special edition has been a delight to read. Thank you so much for giving your time, expertise and encouragement to these Grade 6/7 students. This, no doubt, will be regarded as a memorable highlight in their lives.

Who knows how many of them will move forward into a writing career?

At the very least, they will be much more cognizant of the value of the printed word in their local newspapers and the process of producing an excellent newspaper.

When I was teaching, I invited authors into my classroom to help my students with the writing process but, sadly, was not wise enough to invite a newspaper editor to do the same. Our loss!
