Mission man survives after motorcycle slams into semi in Surrey

 

 
 
 

SURREY - A 49-year-old Mission man is in danger of losing his leg after his red Triumph motorcycle slammed head-on into a semi-trailer in Port Kells later Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m., at 95A Avenue and 192nd Street.

Witnesses told police the motorcycle was travelling at "excessive" speed when it smashed into the front of the truck, which was turning left onto 95A.

The truck driver, a 37-year-old man from Delta, wasn't injured.

Surrey Mounties are investigating the crash and are asking witnesses to contact them at 604-599-0502.
