Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service prevented a shed fire from getting out of control on Wednesday night.

The AFRS was called out to a home in the 34700 block of Delair Road just before 9 p.m., said Deputy Fire Chief Mike Helmer.

Crews arrived to find an outbuilding at the property fully engulfed in flames, said Helmer.

The flames had also ignited an adjacent cedar tree causing the danger the fire could spread, he said.

However, crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

No one was injured in the blaze and the residence on the property did not suffer any damage.

Investigators, who don't believe the fire was suspicious, are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
