Rotten tomatoes to people who trample through sensitive ecological areas to get photos of an endangered creature, all the while causing stress and disruption to the animals. Go to a zoo, buy a picture book, or join a group that follows proper rules of encounter. Roses to responsible, wise people and groups who know when to turn down a photo-op in the name of safeguarding the animal(s).
Rotten tomatoes to the ridiculously overcrowded YMCA in Surrey. I'm so glad I pay $100 a month so I can park three blocks away in the rain and not have a single machine or bench to work out on. Either expand or sell fewer memberships. I, for one, won't be renewing our family membership unless the management figures out a way to better serve members, who pay a pretty penny, I might add.
Beautiful and fragrant roses to Mayor Dianne Watts. Thank you for hearing the citizens of Surrey and speaking for us when you voted to defeat the casino application. I am proud to say I have supported you in past elections and will in the future. God bless you and the woman who suffers with mental illness who bravely shared her struggles bringing the crowd to tears!
Rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey. Thanks for the second sleepless night in the last few weeks. Thursday night sounded like a huge truck was running right outside our house. People have to work the next day. Surely they can do road work in a residential neighbourhood during the day.
Rotten tomatoes to the losers who still drive way over the speed limit on the Pattullo Bridge. I hope one of these days the cops are waiting for you at the other end, it's time you people got a speeding ticket! Come on cops, where are you when we need you?
Rotten tomatoes to the grumpy old woman who drinks and smokes - use some common sense and stop poisoning your granddaughters with your disgusting habit.
Shame on you - second-hand smoke kills.
Roses to the staff at Peace Arch Hospital for their professionalism in dealing with a big crowd Jan. 13. From the help of the intake staff, to the way everyone sped from task to task, but made time for each person and did whatever they could to help. Despite problems in our health-care system, I saw a team doing its very utmost for people.
