Second suspicious trailer fire near Pattullo
Motorists on the Pattullo Bridge got a bird's eye view of a "suspicious" blaze that burned a fifth wheel camper in an RV park in Brownsville this afternoon.
Nobody was injured in the fire, which was knocked down quickly by Surrey firefighters.
"They go up pretty quickly so they're pretty spectacular when they go up like that," Deputy Fire Chief John Caviglia said.
No other trailers were damaged. Meanwhile, the Surrey RCMP is still investigating another suspicious fire nearby that destroyed two trailer homes and damaged three others in Bridgeview on Dec. 28.
No one was injured in that fire, at the trailer park at 12662 112A Ave. It left 15 people homeless.
Cpl. Bert Paquet said arson investigators are reviewing video surveillance and pursuing other leads while waiting on the results of forensic testing in that case.
