About 200 people attended, hearing from a dozen politicians who were invited to speak. Among the honorees were the Surrey food bank, South Delta food bank, Greater Vancouver food bank, Source food bank in South Surrey and White Rock, Friends in Need food bank in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, Langley and Aldergrove food banks, the Chilliwack food bank, Abbotsford food bank, Mission St. Joseph's food bank, and the Share Community Service food bank of Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
