Surrey Mounties are investigating the vicious beating of a 43-year-old woman who was found, partially clothed, falling in and out of consciousness in a Whalley parking lot on Sunday afternoon.

A passerby called police after finding her in the 13500-block of 106th Avenue, at about 12:30 p.m.

She was still in critical condition at press time Wednesday.
