A South Surrey father is accused of stabbing his son in the back during a booze-fueled family fight last Thursday night.

The incident happened just after 8 p.m., in the 17300-block of 3rd Avenue.

Police have not released names. They are recommending to the Crown that the dad, age 50, be charged with assault with a weapon, a police spokesman said. The victim is 22 years old.
