Suspect arrested after Surrey man stabbed to death Sunday in Whalley

 

 
 
 

A Surrey man was stabbed to death in his apartment in Cedar Hills in Whalley late Sunday afternoon and police have a 54-year-old suspect in custody.

Jeremy McLellan, 35, was found in the apartment at 128th Street and 95 Avenue at 5:45 p.m., suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at hospital at 6:25 p.m.

"It is unclear at this time what the motive is for this murder," said Sgt. Jennifer Pound, spokeswoman for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. "A 54-year-old male, believed to be the suspect, was located at the scene and arrested. He remains in custody but cannot be identified as he has not been formally charged."
