SURREY - The sun came out as an added bonus as Surrey celebrated Canada Day in style.
Even better, Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts accepted Trooper's invitation to join them on stage to "raise a little hell."
During a Q&A session in Thursday's 'Now', Trooper's Ra McGuire invited Watts to come on stage and sing with them during their Canada Day performance.
Because we wanted to see that so badly, we put the invitation on Thursday's front page, along with a photo of Watts, hoping the pressure would force her to accept.
Much to our delight - and to the delight of the thousands who cheered her on - Watts took the stage as the band kicked into "Raise a Little Hell" at the end of their set.
Although she admitted to the 'Now' backstage that she was a tad nervous, Watts nailed it (although her microphone didn't seem to be on - but enough about that, the important thing is that she did it).
