Surrey Mounties continue to investigate a mysterious foot shooting in Newton.
A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital with a bullet wound in his foot shortly after police received a 911 call from a house near 60th Avenue and 129B Street at about 5:30 a.m. this morning.
He was shot inside the house, Cpl. Bert Paquet said. Nobody has been arrested as police have yet to reveal who did it and why.
"We're still trying to clear those details," he said.
The victim's name has not been released.
