A Surrey man is accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend's son inside the apartment the three shared in Whalley.
William Engebretsen, 54, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jeremy McLellan, 35.
McLellan was found in the apartment at 128 Street and 95 Avenue in Cedar Hills late Sunday afternoon, suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at hospital at 6:25 p.m.
"It is unclear at this time what the motive is for this murder," said Sgt. Jennifer Pound, spokeswoman for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. Engebretsen was arrested at the scene.
