The Rotary Club of White Rock is holding its one-day summer book sale this weekend, at the Rotary Fieldhouse.

There are thousands of gently used books for sale in all kinds of categories, including novels, arts books, biographies, cooking, gardening, history, hobbies, self-help, travel and more. Almost all titles will go for $2 each or three for $5, the exceptions being coffee table books and special editions. And, as usual, children who come with their parents will receive a free book.

Last year's sale raised more than $60,000 for various good causes. The Rotary Fieldhouse is on the South Surrey sports grounds, west of 148th Street between 20th and 24th avenues.

The sale, on Saturday, Aug. 25, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
