SURREY - Two Surrey firefighters and a male in his 60s were sent to hospital Thursday morning to be treated for minor smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a mobile home in Surrey.
The fire began at about 10:30 a.m. at the Plaza Mobile Home and RV Park in the 8200-block of King George Boulevard. A resident of the park saw smoke coming out of the building and called the fire department.
Firefighters had to pull the man out through a window to get him away from the fire, said battalion chief Tom Morgan.
Emergency crews were on scene for about an hour and were able to contain the fire quickly, however there was significant damage to the front living area of the trailer, said Morgan.
All three men were released from the hospital and the firefighters were able to return to their shift after being seen by a doctor.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
