Kid's fan-funded album yields a dozen free downloads

Surrey's wonderful Billy The Kid (Pettinger) is back in town to help oversee the free weekly release of 12 new songs from her forthcoming Ours album, a fan-funded effort. The free downloads went live in mid-June and will continue for the next several weeks at www.billythekidonline.com. Also of note, Pettinger has seen her "Us Broken Hearts" video go viral, with images of her shot on an iPhone at landmark sites around Europe -- good creative fun! The Kid is also prepped to play July 7 at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret as one of 10 finalists in the latest Shore 104.3 Song Search talent contest. The Sumner Brothers are among those slated to play there July 14.
