South Surrey and White Rock Art Society is set to present an exhibition and sale of more than 100 original works.

The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7 at Elgin community hall, 14250 Crescent Rd., Surrey, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is by donation, and lots of free parking is available to those who attend.

The society, founded close to 50 years ago, includes artists of various skill levels who are interested in "learning, improving and having fun." General monthly meetings are held on the second Monday of each month (next one on Oct. 15) at St. John's Presbyterian Church hall, 1480 George St., White Rock at 7 p.m. The focus of each meeting is a demonstration or professional critique.
