The Valley West Hawks picked up just one of a possible four points in a two-game set with the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs in B.C. Major Midget Hockey League play last weekend.
Hawks Jarret Smith, Jordan Klimek and Mitchell Friesen each collected a goal and an assist in a 7-4 loss to the host Chiefs on Saturday night.
The Chiefs killed the Hawks with special teams thanks, to four power-play goals and two more while shorthanded.
The following day in Langley, the Hawks held the Chiefs' power play to just one goal en route to a 3-3 draw.
Friesen led the Hawks with a pair of goals while Klimek scored once and set up another.
Valley West currently sits in a tie with the Okanagan Rockets place in the Major Midget standings, one point back of fourthplace Greater Vancouver.
