Canadian football's holy grail will make a one-day whirlwind tour of Surrey on Saturday.
The B.C. Lions will show off the Grey Cup at three stops in Surrey that day.
The first stop Saturday will be Cloverdale Arena (6090 176th St.) from 9: 30 to 10: 30 a.m. The cup will reappear at 1: 30 p.m. at the Ocean Park Community Centre (1577 128th St.) for a one-hour visit.
The Grey Cup tour of Surrey concludes at the Central City Shopping Centre in Whalley (10153 King George Bvd.) where it will be on display from 3: 30 to 5 p.m.
Surrey currently leads the Metro Women's Soccer League's premier ranks with a spotless 10-0 record.
"I think this long break is going to turn out to be a blessing in disguise for us," said Surrey coach Jeff Clarke. "We're going to play a load of games in the near future with make-up games, MWSL Premier Cup games plus our regular league games. With the break and then the cancellations because of weather, it makes it hard to stay in game condition so once we get going again, it's probably a good thing that the schedule is back loaded for us."
