Four more Surrey high school students will be continuing their athletic careers south of the border after committing to scholarships from U.S. colleges this month.

Track and field standouts Tim Delcourt of Kwantlen Park Secondary and Meghan Palesch of Semiahmoo Secondary will both be heading to Moscow, Idaho after accepting offers from the University of Idaho Vandals.

Delcourt won the 2012 B.C. cross country title last fall and is expected to have a strong showing at the provincial track championships in June.

Palesch is one of the top hurdlers in the country and the reigning Canadian junior national champion. Also heading south is Elgin Park golfer Colton Dorion, who signed a golf scholarship with Midwestern State University down in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Finally, left-handed pitcher Ashton Mantle of Sullivan Heights has accepted an offer to study and play baseball with Odessa College in Texas.
